The museum accommodates photographs, archival and artifact collections which present the way of life in Nez Perce County from the time of Lewis and Clark in 1805 up to the present day. Nez Perce National Historic Trail

The 1877 flight of the Nez Perce from their homelands while pursued by U.S. Army Generals Howard, Sturgis, and Miles, is one of the most fascinating and sorrowful events in Western U.S. history. This website provides trail guides, a virtual tour, kid's pages, news and many other points of interest. Developed by the Clearwater National Forest for the U. S. Forest Service, in connection with U. S. Fish & Wildlife, Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service.
