Lewiston Morning Tribune Thursday, September 24, 1914 Mrs. Wyncoop Dead Lewiston Pioneer Passed Away At Seattle Yesterday. Niles Wyncoop, Western Union telegraph operator, yesterday received the message over the wire announcing the death of his mother, Mrs. Mary J. Wyncoop, in Seattle, death resulting from an attack of appendicitis with complications. Mrs. Wyncoop was about 68 years of age and was a Lewiston pioneer. She removed from Lewiston to Seattle about three years ago. During her residence in the city she made many warm friends by whom she was held in high esteem. The deceased leaves four daughters and two sons; Mrs. J. M. Robinson, Lewiston; Mrs. A. D. James, Everett; Miss Lessie Wyncoop, Portland; Miss Zella Wyncoop, Seattle; Amazon Wyncoop, Seattle, and Niles Wyncoop, Lewiston. The remains will be brought to Lewiston today for interment and the funeral will be held Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the Vassar chapel. |
