Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, June 18, 1926 Pioneer Resident Dead. Mrs. W. W. Wright Victim of Cancer at Gifford. Gifford, June 17. - Mrs. W. W. Wright, a pioneer resident of Gifford prairie, died this afternoon of cancer of the stomach, of which she has been suffering since last September, when she was taken to Portland for an operation. She has been bedfast since the middle of March, and her passing was not unexpected. Mrs. Wright was 46 years of age, and has resided in and near Gifford for the past 24 years, the family coming here from the east. Besides Mr. Wright, she is survived by four children, Vivian, Lucile, Jack and James, all at home. Mrs. Wright was a member of the Gifford Rebekah lodge No. 69, and was active in all community affairs, being well beloved by all who knew her. Her many friends will regret her untimely passing, which has saddened the entire community. |
