Walter H. Wilson Dead

Passed Away Yesterday Following Illness of Only Four Days.

After an illness of but four days, Walter H. Wilson, aged 35 years, died yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock, death resulting from stricture of the bowels. Mr. Wilson was an employee of the Lewiston Mercantile company, being connected with the fruit department of the business. Up to last Friday he had seemingly enjoyed his usual good health, and at noon of that day he was taken ill, complaining to his fellow workers of cramps in the stomach. He retired to his home at Jefferson and F streets, where his death occurred.

With his family, the deceased came to this city last August from Portland, and his connection with the Mercantile company dated from that time. At the office of the company, Mr. Wilson was spoken of in highest terms, being a great favorite with his fellow employees, and a faithful servant to his employers. His death came as a great shock to those with whom he had formed an acquaintance during his several months' residence here.

A wife and two children, a boy aged four and a girl aged six survive. Funeral arrangements are being held in abeyance until the mother and sister of the bereaved wife, residing in North Dakota, can be heard from. Mr. Wilson also leaves a sister residing at Derby, Conn., and a brother who sailed from Seattle a few days ago for Alaska aboard a government revenue boat.
