Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, July 11, 1924 Walter F. Williams Dead Passed Away Yesterday at Home of Mother. Walter F. Williams, who has been residing with his mother, Mrs. Jennie Williams, 1_07 G street, the past four years, died yesterday morning at 6 o'clock. Mr. Williams has been ill for the past ten years and underwent operations at San Francisco four years ago and visited the Mayo clinic at Rochester, Minn., to secure relief from a severe malady, which finally caused his death. Mr. Williams was well known in the city, but better known at Grangeville, where he resided for 30? years. He moved with his father and mother to Grangeville in 1890. His father, Mr. William Henry Williams, was a farmer for many years in the Grangeville section, and later marshal of Grangeville. Mr. Williams was born in Portland July 10, 1875, and died on July 10, 1924, his 49th birthday. He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Jennie Williams, and four brothers and a sister, these being: W. H. Williams, Portland, Miss Alvia M. Williams, Shanghai, China; E. E. Williams, Heron, Mont.; Ralph D. Williams, Rockford, Wash., and Loren O. Williams, Pasadena, Cal. The funeral will be held at 1 o'clock, Saturday, at the Vassar parlors. Rev. D. J. W. Somerville, will have charge of the services. All the relatives will be here but the sister in China. |
