Lewiston Morning Tribune Wednesday, August 25, 1948 Heart Ailment Takes P. N. Williams, 78 Pleasant Norton (P. N.) Williams, 78, Lewiston resident since 1904 and until his retirement in 1937, a leading jeweler, was taken by death at 2 p.m. yesterday at St. Joseph's hospital. Mr. Williams had been a patient since Sunday. Death was due to a lingering heart ailment, with which Mr. Williams had been afflicted for the last year. He was born Feb. 10, 1869, at Casapolis, Mich. Mr. Williams came to Lewiston in 1904 and established a jewelry store at 810 Main St. He retired from active business in 1937, although he did repair work for friends at his home, 321 13th St. Mr. Williams was married on Oct. 26, 1931, to Minnie Harrington at Asotin. He was a prominent Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite, a 32nd degree KCCH, Nez Perce county blue lodge, AF&AM, and the Shrine. He was also a member of the Lewiston Elks lodge. Mr. Williams is survived by his wife, and one half-sister, Mrs. Sadie Schultz, Melven, Kans. The body is at the Brower-Wann funeral home, with arrangements pending. |
