Lewiston Morning Tribune Monday, November 15, 1909 C. Wildenthaler Dead Young Business Man Passed Away Yesterday Morning at the Family Home in this City - Was Born in Lewiston Twenty-Seven Years Ago. Charles Wildenthaler, the only son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Wildenthaler, pioneer residents of Lewiston, passed away at five o'clock yesterday morning at the family home in this city, death being due to a complication of disorders. Mr. Wildenthaler had been in failing health for about three years and last winter went to California, hoping the change might benefit him. Recently he had been growing weaker very rapidly and for ten days past has been confined to the house. Announcement will be made Tuesday as to the funeral arrangements, which will be conducted by the Masonic lodge of which the deceased was a member. Charles Wildenthaler was twenty-seven years of age on May 11 last and was born in Lewiston. This city has been his home except for the period he was a student of the Hill Military academy in Portland. In recent years he has been associated with his father in the Lewiston Grocery company, being a vice-president of that corporation. He was a young man of sterling character and lofty purposes, who during his lifetime perhaps made not a single enemy. His death is a great blow to relatives, who have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement. He is survived by father and mother and three sisters - Mrs. J. E. Kincaid, of Lewiston; Mrs. Jesse Raines, wife of Dr. Raines, of Grangeville, and Miss Harriett Wildenthaler, of this city. |
