Lewiston Morning Tribune Sat., Jan 28, 1961 Henry White, 61, of Viola and until last July a Lewiston Orchards resident, died yesterday morning at 6:30 at St. Joseph's Hospital. He had been hospitalized Monday with a liver ailment. He was a carpenter and contractor. Mr. White lived in the Orchards from 1949 until July. He was born in Latah County Feb. 20, 1899, and spent his early life at Colton. As a carpenter-contractor Mr. White had lived at various times throughout the Northwest but had lived in the Lewiston area at intervals. He had moved to the Orchards in 1949 to make his permanent home and remained there until he purchased a six-acre tract near Viola in July. He was married to Fern Baldwin of Kamiah in October of 1922 at Asotin. She died May 28, 1932. Mr. White was married a second time at Yakima Sept. 30, 1934, to Miss Ann Yarber. She survives. Also surviving are three children, Mrs. Maxine Harper, Lewiston, and Donald White and Lonnie White, Viola; and three brothers, Forest, Fay and Finn White, all of Lewiston. Rosary will be recited tomorrow night at 8 at Vassar-Rawls Chapel. Requiem mass will be celebrated Monday at 10 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Maurice Corrigan as celebrant. Burial we be at Normal Hill Cemetery. |
