Lewiston Morning Tribune Sat., May 22, 1948 Mrs. Hannah White, Area Pioneer, Passes Mrs. Hannah White, 84, a longtime area resident, died at the Clarkston Nursing home yesterday at 2:30 p.m. Death was due to infirmities of age. She married George W. White in 1884 at Pullman and moved to the Nez Perce prairie to farm the next year. They farmed on the prairie until 1930 and then came to Lewiston. Her husband passed away at Lewiston during 1934. After his death, Mrs. White resided with her daughter, Mrs. Hazel Morrell, 1114 11th Ave., Lewiston, until entering the home a year ago. Survivors other than her daughter include a son, Arch L. White, Clarkston; five nieces, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The body is at Vassar-Rawls funeral home pending arrangements. |
