Lewiston Morning Tribune Monday, January 19, 1931 Early Pioneer Dies At Home In Lapwai James E. Welch, 78, died at his home in Lapwai at 1:30 a.m. yesterday after a lingering illness. He came to Idaho in 1878 and for many years lived on Camas prairie near Cottonwood. He leaves two brothers, William Welch of this city and Michael E. Welch, Spokane, also two sisters in the east. The body is resting at the Brower-Wann establishment. Funeral services will be conducted from their chapel by the Rev. L. E. Tabor tomorrow morning at 10:30 o'clock, interment to be in Normal Hill cemetery. |
