Lewiston Morning Tribune Sunday, September 13, 1908 C. O. Watkins Dead Well Known Webb Ridge Farmer Has Passed Away C. O. Watkins, a well known farmer of he Webb Ridge section, died yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the St. Joseph hospital. Death was due to an abscess and an operation performed with the hope of saving his life proved unsuccessful. Mr. Watkins went to the reservation and secured a homestead at the time of the opening and has since resided there. For a period he resided in Lewiston where he was engaged in the painting business. He had many friends here as well as throughout the farming section. The deceased is survived by Mrs. Watkins, who is the sister of Engineer J. O. Maxon. The funeral will be held Monday.
