Lewiston Morning Tribune Wednesday, September 17, 1930 Ira Walker Passes Away Negro Laborer in City Seven Years, Born in Texas in 1856 Ira Walker, 74, colored, passed away late yesterday following an illness of several months. He had suffered with a malady of the kidneys for approximately four years. Walker came here seven years ago. He was born in Texas and spent a large part of his life in the south. He was a plasterer and calsominer by trade. The body is resting at the Vassar mortuary pending arrangements for the funeral. No known relatives survive.
