Lewiston Morning Tribune Fri., Sept. 7, 1951 R. H. Walk, Former Merchant Here, Dead Rudolph H. Walk 76, identified with the commercial life of Lewiston since 1909, died at 7:45 yesterday morning at St. Joseph's hospital. Mr. Walk had been in ill health for more than one year with heart disease. Mr. Walk was born Oct. 8, 1874, in Wisconsin and came to Lewiston in 1909 to work for the R. C. Beach Co., predecessor of the C. C. Anderson store here. Later, Mr. Walk entered the furniture store business for himself. He retired in 1949. Mr. Walk was married in October, 1909 to Anna Luepka, who survives. He was a member of the Lutheran church. Besides his wife, Mr. Walk is survived by three sons, Robert and Howard, Lewiston, and Walter, Clarkston; and two daughters, Mrs. Walter Weaver, Lenore, and Mrs. Ronald Sautter, Lewiston. Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow morning at 10 at Merchant's chapel, Clarkston, with Brower-Wann funeral home in charge. The Rev. L. G. Bernthal will officiate. Burial will be at Normal Hill cemetery. |
