Lewiston Morning Tribune Monday, May 1, 1933 T. R. Turpin Is Fatally Hurt In Ritzville Wreck Thomas Ralph Turpin, 23, son of Mrs. J. B. Chaffee of Rogersburg and Tom Turpin of Bremerton was fatally injured in an automobile accident near Ritzville, Wash., early Sunday. He died last night at a Ritzville hospital. Details of the accident were not learned here yesterday. Turpin was a brother of the late Clarence Turpin who broke his neck when he dived into shallow water in Snake river, death resulting many months later. In addition to the parents, a sister, Mrs. Del Matney, Clarkston, and a grandfather, C. O. Reed, survive. The Vassar mortuary will have charge of arrangements for the funeral. Its ambulance left last night for Ritzville to return the body here early today.
