Lewiston Morning Tribune Thurs., Sept. 18, 1947 Lenore Man Suffers Fatal Heart Attack At Church Service Lenore, Sept. 17 - William O. Tumelson, 70, died here tonight after a heart attack suffered while he was attending services at the United Brethren in Christ church. He was taken to a nearby home after collapsing but efforts to revive him were not successful. Coroner Andrew Vassar, Lewiston, said death was due to heart disease. The victim, a resident here for the last 50 years, was born Dec. 12, 1877 in Kansas. He had been retired for several years. In 1899, he married Etta Springston at Peck. He is survived, beside his widow, by four sons, Roy and Homer of Lewiston, Thomas of Riggins and Grant of Seattle; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Jackson of Kansas, Mrs. Wilma Kincart and Mrs. Eva Poteet of Lewiston; four sisters, Mrs. Lidia Strode of Walla Walla, Mrs. Laura Study, Hutchinson, Kan., Mrs. Lucy Wilson, Loton, Ark., and Mrs. Bessie Witt, Scott City, Kan.; a brother, Jess, of Peck, and 14 grandchildren. The body is at Vassar-Rawls funeral home at Lewiston pending arrangements. |
