Died.

Thatcher - In this city Dec. 1st, 1883, of Meningitis, Laura Ethel, infant daughter of Chas. E. and Hattie Thatcher, aged one year and 5 days.

The pet of the household, of the whole village has left us, the air is full of farewells and mournings for the little darling, who is "not dead but sleepeth." She has gone, the child of our affection, to that school, no longer needing our care, but under the immediate rule of the loving Saviour, who suffers little children to come unto him. We have all felt the sweet influence of that little life, and our hearts are touched with tenderness, because it lived. Surely, "a little child shall lead them."

"And the mother gave in tears and pain,
The flowers she most did love,
She knew she should find them all again,
In the fields of light above."
