Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, February 27, 1903 Spalding News Items Miss Mary Tallent Died of Rheumatism Sunday Spalding, Feb. 25 (Special to the Tribune) Sunday night, after an illness of five months, Miss Mary Tallent passed away, surrounded by loving relatives. The deceased had been suffering from scarhtena and rheumatism. The latter disease reached her head and was fatal. The funeral was held at the house of her parents at 1 o'clock Monday afternoon, and the body was interred in the Spalding cemetery. She was a daughter of Idaho, having been born just 15 years before the day she died near the city of Lewiston, where many friends join with the people of Spalding in mourning the loss of one so young and blessed with those traits that made her character so lovable to all who knew her. All Spalding attended the funeral and the children of the public schools were present in a body. Rev. J. A. Pine of Lewiston had charge of the funeral services.
