Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, September 10, 1943 Nellie E. Straley Is Taken By Death Mrs. Nellie Eleanor Straley, 64, resident of Lewiston 23 years, died at 4 a.m. yesterday at St. Joseph's hospital of a heart ailment. Mrs. Straley made her home with her niece, Mrs. Pearl Easterday, 0218 Twenty-second street. Mrs. Straley was born at Owasco, Mo., Feb. 11, 1874, the daughter of William and Mary Straley. In 1896 she married Horatio Beck at Owasco and to this union one son was born. Mr. Beck and their son preceded Mrs. Straley in death. Survivors include her brother, Walter J. Straley, Prossession, Wash.; two sisters, one residing in Illinois, and other in Missouri; her grandson at Walla Walla and her granddaughter at Joseph, Ore., and several nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Easterday, who was at the bedside when death came, and John E. Easterday, Clarkston. The body is at the Brower-Wann chapel with arrangements pending. |
