Lewiston Teller Lewiston, Idaho, Thursday, June 27, 1889 Died in the town of Buena Vista, Portage Co., Wis, June 1, 1889, Mr. Print Steward, aged twenty six years. Nearly all the citizens of Lewiston will remember Mr. S., as he has made Lewiston and Asotin his home for the past six years, being a friend of Mr. and Mrs. Scribner. He was a young man of exemplary habits, kind and generous to a fault. About a year ago he came from the Coeur d'Alene mines where he had been for some months. All will remember that he was the very picture of health at that time, but on the last day of August he did his last days work, then employed by Mr. Scribner. He remained in Lewiston and Asotin until about the first of April, when he went to his childhood home in Wisconsin, where he lingered a great sufferer to that dreadful disease, quick consumption, until the 1st of June, when he passed away amid his friends and parents. His many friends of Asotin, Lewiston and Genesee all join in sympathy with the bereaved parents.
Yes, one more has crossed the river. -- A Friend. |
