Lewiston Morning Tribune Thursday, November 5, 1931 Pioneer of Spalding Section Passes Away Vic Spensley, pioneer of the Spalding section, moving from there to California two years ago, and returning to Lewiston several months ago, died at St. Joseph's hospital at 10:30 o'clock last night. He had taken ill while visiting near Peck and died a few hours after being taken to the hospital. Mr. Spensley farmed near Spalding for more than 30 years. He was well-known in Nez Perce county. The body is resting at the Brower-Wann parlors. His widow is in California and funeral arrangements are held in abeyance until she is heard from.
