Lewiston Morning Tribune Thurs., July 3, 1947 Harvey Southwick, 74, Area Pioneer, Dead Harvey Southwick, 74, a member of one of this area's oldest families, died yesterday morning at 8:25 at St. Joseph's hospital of infirmities of old age. The town of Southwick was named after his father. He had maintained his farm home at Lenore since 1895, when he married Tacie Gilmore. She died two years ago. Mr. Southwick, born Jan. 24, 1873, was a member of the United Brethren church. Survivors include eight children, Mrs. Viola Beckham and Mrs. Edna Koker, Spokane; Mrs. Cleo Schoeffler and Ray Southwick, Marshfield, Ore.; Mrs. Goldie Mustoe, Southwick; Mrs. Irene Johnson and Eugene Southwick, Lewiston; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Daggett, Lewiston; Mrs. Emma Tarry, Cavendish; Mrs. Myrtle Davis, and Mrs. Mattie Brown of California; three brothers, L. J. Southwick, Southwick; Bert Southwick, Seattle, and Ed Southwick of Canada; and 16 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at Brower-Wann funeral home with arrangements undecided. |
