W. Hayes Smith, Carpenter, Dead; Funeral Tomorrow

W. Hayes Smith, 0232 Twenty-second street, died at St. Joseph's hospital at 6:30 a.m. yesterday. Death was attributed to cancer. He was taken to the hospital 12 days ago. Mr. Smith, a carpenter, was born at Butler, Mo., Sept. 17, 1875, and came to Lewiston four months ago. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Clara Smith, and his daughter, Mrs. W. D. Catlin, Tacoma.
