Lewiston Morning Tribune Tuesday, September 12, 1950 Grace Mary Smith, 79, Succumbs At Hospital Grace Mary Smith, 79, Lewiston Orchards, a north central Idaho resident since 1906, died at 9:18 last night at St. Joseph's hospital, where she had been a patient for three weeks. Death was attributed to the infirmities of age. Mrs. Smith was born Oct. 23, 1870, at Wichita, Kan., and moved west to Spokane in 1899. She lived there until 1906, when she and her husband moved to Culdesac. They lived at Culdesac until 1935, when they moved to Peck. In 1947, Mrs. Smith moved to Lewiston Orchards. She was married to the late David Smith at Cheyenne, Wyo., in June of 1893. He died in October, 1943. Mrs. Smith is survived by a daughter, Mrs. E. G. McDowell, Lewiston, a sister, Mrs. Kate Lee, Purcell, Colo., and seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 tomorrow afternoon at the Brower-Wann chapel by the Rev. Clarence Orr. Burial will be at Normal Hill cemetery. |
