Lewiston Morning Tribune Tuesday, February 19, 1901 Death of John A. Small John L. Small, aged 87 years, died yesterday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Eliza Ingraham, five miles east of the city. The deceased was born Aug. 24, 1814, in New Brunswick and emigrated to Ludlow, Maine, when a young man. He raised a family of nine children, of whom are living Mrs. Eliza Ingraham, of Lewiston, Idaho; George A. Small, of Smrna, Maine; Lydia J. Smith, of Veazie, Maine; Annie E. Cochran, of Orofino, Idaho, and Ellis Small, of Orofino, Idaho. He came to this section in 1885 and since resided here. He leaves many friends to mourn his passing away. He was a kind husband, true father and his motto in life was "Speak ill of nobody but kindly of everybody." The funeral services will be held from the home of Mrs. Ingraham at 10 o'clock a.m. today. All friends are invited to attend the service. |
