Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, May 27, 1939 Mrs. Slusser Is Taken At Spokane Mrs. Mary E. Slusser, 71, former Lewiston resident and Idaho pioneer, died Thursday at Spokane of a chronic ailment, according to word received here yesterday. She was born in Ohio March 6, 1868. She came to Idaho early in life, and with her husband located at Lewiston in 1908. The couple lived here until 1925, residing at Twelfth avenue between Thirteenth and Fourteenth streets. She is survived by her husband, John G. Slusser, of Spokane: a son, Robert R. Slusser, Terre Haute, Ind.; four daughters: Mrs. Lea V. Carlson, Moscow, and Mrs. Bessie Thiessen, Mrs. Hassel Coldeen and Mrs. Neva Aumack, all of Spokane; a brother, Edward Cook, Toledo, Ohio, and two sisters: Mrs. Ina Daniels and Mrs. Eva Beeles, of Kansas City. The body is at the Home Funeral home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 from Our Savior's Lutheran church at Moscow. Interment will be in the family plot in the Normal Hill cemetery. |
