Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, February 13, 1931 Mrs. M. Silleman Dies; Was Pioneer In Spokane Mrs. Margaret Silleman, 74, passed away at her home on Maple street yesterday morning at 11:10 o'clock following a paralytic stroke which she suffered about a week ago. She has resided in Clarkston since 1917, moving here from near Grangeville, Ida. Mrs. Silleman came west in 1881, settling at Spokane. At that time there was only one building on the north side of Spokane river, and Spokane was a small village. She is survived by a son, Charles Silleman, Clarkston, a sister, Lizzy Washburn, and a brother, George Cox, both residing in Illinois. The funeral will be held from the Merchant parlors Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Hubert Vincent officiating. |
