Samuel T. Shafer Dead.

Samuel T. Shafer died yesterday at the county hospital from general complications resulting from heart trouble. Mr. Shafer was about 87 years of age and had been a resident of Lewiston for the past years. He was removed to the county hospital about five weeks ago. He is survived by a son who was last heard from at Potlatch and a letter apprising him of his father's death was addressed to him there yesterday. The funeral will be conducted today by A. E. Forward.
