Frank D. Sears Dead

Word Received From Mrs. Sears That He Passed Away Today

Judge C. P. Coburn received a telegram from his daughter Mrs. Sears to day that her husband had died this morning and that she would bring him home.

Mr. Frank D. Sears and Mrs. Sears went to Phoenix, Arizona in October to see if a change of climate would not improve Mr. Sears' health. At first the change proved very beneficial but on December 16th, a wire from Mrs. Sears gave the news that Mr. Sears was suffering from a severe hemorrhage. His friends here grew very apprehensive and today's sad intelligence confirmed their fears.

Mr. Sears has been in failing health since last spring. He and Mrs. Sears spent the summer with relatives here camping out in the mountains where Mr. Sears was greatly improved and hoped to gain more strength by a change to Arizona.

The deceased is well known to many citizens here where he lived for several years. Later he moved to Grand Forks, B. C., where he was engaged in the real estate business till about a year ago when he moved to the northwest territory where in the severe climate his health failed and he was forced to return.

Mrs. J. D. Sears, mother of the deceased, and Mr. Fred B. Sears, a brother are residents of Lewiston. Mrs. Nettie Barger a sister lives in Clarkston. Mrs. Sears, wife, of the deceased, is the daughter of C. P. Coburn and Mrs. Coburn, old time residents of Lewiston, and has many friends who will sympathize with her in her bereavement.

The deceased was about forty-four years old, a native of Iowa, but he spent most of his life in the west. He was in the saddlery business in Lewiston for several years and since then has resided mostly at Grand Forks, B. C. His body will be brought here for burial. He was a member of the Woodman of the World lodge.
