Melvin Schiebe Dead

A Popular Young Man Has Succumbed to Tuberculosis.

Yesterday morning at five o'clock at the family residence on Adams street Melvin B. Schiebe passed from this life at the age of 28 years, death ensuing from tuberculosis, a disease from which he had been a sufferer for some time, but it was not until about three weeks ago that its ravages made such inroads that Mrs. Schiebe was forced to take to his bed.

Melvin B. Schiebe was born in North Dakota in 1885, coming to Lewiston with his parents three years later, his residence here being continuous since. A young man of fine personality and ability, he endeared himself to a large number of friends, who will be greatly shocked to learn of his untimely end.

Surviving there are August Schiebe, his father, four sisters and one brother, these being Mrs. Edna Ball, of Spokane; Mrs. John Lindsay, and Miss Gertrude Schiebe, of Lewiston; Mrs. Grace Snyder, and Leslie Schiebe both residing at Selma, North Dakota. All were present at the bedside with the exception of Mrs. Snyder and the brother.

The funeral services over the remains will be conducted this afternoon at 1 o'clock from the Vassar chapel.
