Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, November 6, 1954 Mrs. Fern Sargent Succumbs At Portland Mrs. Robert (Fern) Sargent, 48, 1_04 14th Ave., died at Physicians & Surgeons Hospital, Portland, yesterday, it was learned at Lewiston, after undergoing surgery for a heart ailment. Her husband is expected to return from Portland this morning. She was the youngest daughter of the late Eli and Elvina Bolick, pioneers in Asotin County. She attended schools at Asotin where she was graduated from high school in 1922. She was graduated from Washington State College in 1926 and was a teacher several years before her marriage to Robert Sargent, Aug. 22, 1933. Mrs. Sargent was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority; Daughters of the Nile and Order of the Eastern Star. She was active at Lewiston in Parent-Teacher Association work and the Camp Fire Girls. Two daughters, Dorothy, 13, and Roberta, 9, survive at the home. Others who survive include three brothers, Wallace Bolick of Quincy, Wash., Dell Bolick of Asotin and Russell Bolick of Spokane; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Greene of Asotin, Mrs. Jeanette Gillis, Ritzville, Wash., and Miss Grace Bolick of Portland; and a cousin, Marvin Barnes of Lewiston. Mrs. Hazel Wally, Franklin Apts., Lewiston, is a sister-in-law. The body will be shipped to Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home where arrangements are pending. |
