Lewiston Morning Tribune Wednesday, September 25, 1940 Mrs. Dorothea Roos Dead At Age Of 77 Mrs. Dorothea Roos, 77?, wife of John P. Roos Sr., 307 Thirteenth street, died at St. Joseph's hospital 12:30 a.m. today of pneumonia. Mrs. Roos was taken to the _____ one week ago. A native of Germany, born July 2, 1863, she came to the United States when 20 years old and a short time later located in Lewiston. The family home for more than 40 years has been on Thirteenth street. She was active in church, fraternal and social affairs of the city for many years. During her 57 years residence in Lewiston Mrs. Roos witnessed its growth from a small town ____ ______ importance. She was a ______ _____ Episcopal church. Survivors are her husband, John P. Roos Sr., her son, Albert Roos, instructor of engineering of the Bremerton, Wash., school and present when death came, two granddaughters and two grandsons. The body is at the Brower-Wann funeral home. Burial arrangements are pending. |
