Frank Morgan (Dad) Rogers, 73, wholesale distributor of oil products and service station operator on north Lewiston in partnership with his step-son, William W. Curtis, until his retirement last April, died at his home, Second avenue and Twenty-second street, north, at 10:30 yesterday morning of heart disease.

Mr. Rogers was born in Syracuse, N.Y., Sept. 10, 1865, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Rogers, and at an early age with his parents went to Chicago. At the time of the Chicago fire he claimed he and his grandfather were the last to cross the bridge in evacuation of the city. Later he moved to Menashs, Wis., and then to Ottowa, Wis. He sailed the Great lakes. He was engaged in business at Ashtabula, Ohio, and served as mayor of that town.

In 1900 he located at Starbuck, Wash., where his mother resided, and was married there August 29, 1903, to Mrs. Nellie R. Curtis. He resided at Kamiah in 1914 and the next year took up his home in Lewiston Orchards, where he remained until locating in north Lewiston in 1931.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nelle R. Rogers; one son, Robert John Rogers, Lewiston and two stepsons, William W. Curtis, Lewiston, and Lee Curtis, Aberdeen, Wash. He was a member of the Christian church.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 from the Bower-Wann chapel. Interment will be at Normal Hill cemetery.
