Lewiston Morning Tribune Thursday, May 13, 1943 Mrs. Jennie Robnett Summoned By Death Mrs. Jennie Robnett, 68, wife of Clarence Robnett and a member of a pioneer family of Lewiston, died at St. Luke's hospital at Spokane early yesterday, according to an announcement received by her sister, Mrs. P. N. (Minnie) Williams. Death came after a lingering illness. Mrs. Robnett was born at Farmington, Minn., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Harrington. Her father operated a sawmill here. With her parents she came to Lewiston in 1892. She attended public schools here and was a member of the first normal graduating class in 1898, on which occasion she was valedictorian. Later Mrs. Robnett taught in schools of Idaho and Washington, and was the first school superintendent of Nez Perce county after the legislature separated that office from the probate court. Mrs. Robnett was a member of the Methodist church and active in civic affairs during her residence here. Her marriage to Mr. Robnett took place Feb. 6, 1900. Since 1909 the family has resided at Spokane. Survivors are her husband; two sons, B. E. Robnett and C. G. Robnett; three daughters, Mrs. H. A. Gearhart, Mrs. R. O. Hastings and Mrs. C. D. Christopherson, all of Spokane; four brothers and two sisters, E. M. Harrington, Lenore; George Harrington, Waha; Lewis Harrington and Mrs. Williams, Lewiston; Lafe Harrington, Nezperce, and Mrs. William Fredrickson, Perley, Minn. Funeral services will be conducted at Spokane Saturday. |
