Lewiston Morning Tribune Thursday, March 25, 1948 William Robinson, 61, Summoned By Death William A. Robinson, 61, resident of Lewiston since 1920 and a retired merchant, died at 8:20 yesterday morning at St. Joseph's hospital. He had been in ill health since his retirement in 1936. Mr. Robinson was born Sept. 6, 1886 at Newberry, Mich. He moved west to Eugene, Ore., in 1913 and went to Grangeville in 1914. After engaging in business at Grangeville, he moved to Lewiston in 1920 to operate the Robinson Battery & Ignition Co. He was married to Selma Frank at Windsor, Ontario, Canada, March 1912. Mr. Robinson was a member of the Christian church and the Masonic lodge. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Chester A. Fee, Portland, and Mrs. John Lewellen, Plains, Mont.; and a nephew, Norville Johnston, Plains, Mont. Funeral services will be conducted from the Brower-Wann funeral home tomorrow at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Marvin E. Smith as officiant. Interment will be at Normal Hill cemetery.
