W. M. Robison Taken By Death

Weaver M. (Speedy) Robison, 56, one of Lewiston's best known railroadmen for the last 38 years, died at 8 last night at his home, 623 Prospect Ave., after suffering a sudden heart attack. Mr. Robison had not been feeling well since Saturday.

Born at Feaville, Ark., Aug. 6, 1896, Mr. Robison moved to Clarkston 44 years ago and was educated in Clarkston schools. He began work with the Camas Prairie and Northern Pacific Railroads in 1914 as a fireman.

For the last decade, Mr. Robison had been engineer of the CPRR logging train operating between Orofino and Headquarters, and was one of the best-known railroaders in the region.

He was a member of the Lewiston Elks Lodge and the Railroad Brotherhood.

Mr. Robison was married Nov. 13, 1923, to Tressie Primus, who survives. Mr. and Mrs. Robison lost both of their children through death. A son, Gordon, died in 1930 and their daughter, Shirley, passed away in October, 1950.

Besides his wife, Mr. Robison is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Ed Elmore, Harrison, Ark.; Mattie Works, Seattle; Mrs. Jack Abbott, Clarkston; and Mrs. Art Brown, Pierce.
