Lewiston Morning Tribune Tuesday, December 16, 1941 George Robinson Is Called By Death George T. Robinson, 78, for 13 years caretaker of Vollmer park, dropped dead at 2:45 yesterday afternoon while engaged in cutting down a tree at the filtration plant. He was assisting Harry Isaman, city landscape consultant, when stricken. City Engineer W. P. Hughes saw Mr. Robinson fall and summoned medical aid. He died almost instantly. Mr. Robinson was a native of Canada and came to Lewiston 19 years ago. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Fred Holbrook, Lewiston, and Mrs. William Hunter, North Battleford, Saskatchewan, Canada; one son, Beath Robinson, Vancouver, B. C., and his sister, Mrs. John McAllister, Vancouver, B. C. The body is at the Brower-Wann chapel with funeral arrangements pending. |
