Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, October 19, 1919 Infection From Scratch Causes Rideout's Death Infection resulting in crysipelas from a slight scratch on the nose three weeks ago resulted in the death of Bert Rideout, 46, at White's hospital yesterday morning at 8 o'clock. While Mr. Rideout was at work in the woods in the Bovil and Deary regions he received the slight abrasion to the skin that resulted in death. He remained at the camp until two days before his death. His condition was critical when he was brought to Lewiston. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Rideout, Clearwater; two brothers, William Rideout, Pierce City, and Clarence Rideout, Kooskia, and one sister, Mrs. Pearl Lohrey, Clearwater. The body is at the Vassar parlors, from which private funeral services will be conducted this morning, the Eagles lodge being in charge. Burial will be in Normal Hill cemetery. |
