Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, April 25, 1947 Anna Ricketts Taken; Pioneer Of Peck Area Mrs. Anna Pearl Ricketts, 86, resident of Peck for the last 50 years died shortly after midnight yesterday at the Clarkston nursing home of heart disease. She had been under treatment at the home for six weeks. Mrs. Ricketts was born at Nashville, Tenn., June 15, 1859, and with her parents came west in a covered wagon and located in the Palouse country, residing there until 1897 and then homesteading at Colton. Surviving are two daughters and four sons: Mrs. Grace Thompson and Mrs. May Fosterman, both of Portland; Walt Ricketts and Dewey Ricketts, Lewiston; Jay Ricketts, Peck and Roy Ricketts, residing in California. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 2 from Vassar-Rawls chapel with the Rev. Marvin E. Smith as officiant. Interment will be in Normal Hill cemetery. |
