Lewiston Morning Tribune Wednesday, May 12, 1926 Mrs. William M. Reese [William Mortimer Rice] Dead Pioneer Resident of Lewiston Passed Away at Seattle. A message received yesterday announced the death at Seattle of Mrs. William M. Reese, a pioneer resident of Lewiston and the Westlake country. Mrs. Reese came to Lewiston 46 years ago with her late husband, Judge William M. Reese. After residing here for a number of years, they removed to the Westlake section, where they were engaged in farming for several years. They removed to Seattle about 20 years ago and Mr. Reese passed away about eight years ago. Mrs. Reese is survived by two daughters here, Mrs. Harry Harford of Lewiston and Mrs. Tony Craig of Clarkston. The remains will be brought here for interment but the funeral arrangements will not be made until after the arrival of the body. Mrs. Reese was a christian woman of many admirable qualities and enjoyed the esteem of a wide circle of friends throughout the central Idaho country. She was 88 years of age and her passing was due to complications incident to advanced age. [Surname in obituary is wrong] |
