Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, June 6, 1942 Heart Attack Fatal To S. H. Rice, Pioneer Samuel H. Rice, who would have been 70 next Tuesday, died of a heart attack at 6:30 last night while sitting on the porch at his home at 219 Lincoln street. He had been ailing several months. Born at Eldorado, Texas, June 9, 1872, he came to Idaho many years ago, residing in the Kooskia area before moving to Lewiston about 1917. He was a retired farmer. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. May Rice; his daughter, Lenora Rice; two brothers and three sisters, Elias Rice and Oscar Rice, Mrs. Jessie Duncan, Mrs. M. Williams, all of Eldorado, and Mrs. Bertie Evans, Grandview, Texas; also several nieces and nephews. The body is at the Brower-Wann chapel with funeral arrangements pending. |
