Lewiston Morning Tribune Sun., Sept. 17, 1950 Mrs. Katherine Rice Passes At Spokane Mrs. Katherine C. Rice, 81, resident of Lewiston and Cottonwood, died yesterday at Spokane. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. She had been ill for three years. She was born March 27, 1869, at Stockton, Calif. She married Riley Rice at Cottonwood in 1891. After Mr. Rice's death in 1936 she moved to Lewiston. The last four years of her life were spent at Spokane. She was a member of the Lewiston Federated church and of the Grangeville Rebekah lodge. Survivors include three sons, Arthur, Los Angeles, Lester and Euclid, Spokane; two sisters, Mrs. Leona Brown and Mrs. Cora Hinkle, both of Lewiston; a brother, Euclid Code, Spokane; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 at Brower-Wann chapel. The Rev. Douglas S. Vance will officiate. Burial will be at Normal Hill cemetery. |
