Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, October 13, 1956 Former Culdesac Resident Passes George M. Rankin, 91, a Culdesac resident for 40 years, died yesterday afternoon at 3 at Camas, Wash. He was a retired farmer and had lived at Camas since 1951. Mr. Rankin was born June 4, 1865, at Athers, Ill. He farmed in the Culdesac area and was a member of the Culdesac Church of God. He moved to Camas after death of his wife, Daisy. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ruth McGill of Portland and Mrs. Carl Johnson, Springfield, Ill.; three sons, E. A. Rankin of Camas, Ralph Rankin of Waitsburg and George Rankin of Ferdig, Mont.; a brother, Herman of Pierre, S. D.; and 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 at Camas and committal rites are scheduled at Normal Hill Cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 3, with the Brower-Wann Funeral Home making those arrangements. |
