Lewiston Morning Tribune Thursday, October 13, 1938 A. F. Preisz Victim Of Heart Attack Andrew F. Preisz, 81, 1202 F street, caretaker of the courthouse 24 years and a resident of Lewiston since 1904, died at 9:15 yesterday morning in the rear room on the ground floor of the courthouse, a victim of heart disease. Henry Wilson, Indian, a caller at the courthouse, saw Mr. Preisz fall and notified Deputy Sheriffs W. W. Hays and Beecher Campbell. When they arrived resuscitory steps were taken but Mr. Preisz failed to rally. He had not been heard to complain, courthouse attaches said. Mr. Preisz is survived by two sons and two daughters; Elmer Preisz, Yakima; Milton Preisz, Portland; Mrs. Ethel Horton, Portland, and Mrs. Minnie Guy, Medford, Ore. The body is at the Brower-Wann chapel. Funeral arrangements will not be made until his children arrive. |
