Mike Powers Dead; Here Half Century

Mike Powers, 70, resident of Lewiston and Lapwai for the last 50 years, died at the Nez Perce county hospital at 10:30 a.m. yesterday after a several-month illness. He was born at Chicago, Oct. 10, 1873, and was a cook and baker.

He is survived by the following children: Art Powers, Lewiston; Patrick Powers with the armed services overseas; Michael Powers, navy; Mrs. C. W. Eckenwiler, Mrs. Henry Bechtold, both of Tulsa, Okla.; Mrs. Rex Swanson, Longview, Wash.; Mrs. D. L. Fitzsimmons, Yakima; Mrs. E. D. Trobe, Seattle, and eight grandchildren.
