O. C. Porter of this city was taken sick on Tuesday afternoon and died last evening being sick only about thirty hours, with spinal menengitis. He was aged 43 years, and highly respected by all who knew him. The funeral will take place from the residence, on Eugene street, at 2 o'clock to-day.
