Lewiston Morning Tribune Saturday, September 1, 1934 John Phillips Passes At Hospital Yesterday John Phillips, 75, resident of the central Idaho and Clarkston region since 1897, died at St. Joseph's hospital yesterday morning at 6 o'clock, following a heart attack on Thursday. Born in Luxemburg, Germany, Phillips came to Reubens area in 1897 settling on a farm there. In 1926 he moved with his family to Lewiston. They moved to Clarkston in 1930. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J. B. Picavet, Clarkston, a son, Frank Phillips, Clarkston, and a stepson, J. P. Kuhn, Lewiston. Six grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning at 9 o'clock from the Holy Family Catholic church, Clarkston, the Rev. Fr. Ambrose Meyer, officiant. Rosary service will be conducted Sunday evening at 7:30 o'clock at the Vassar-Shaughnessy-Rawls parlors where the body is resting. |
