Lewiston Morning Tribune Friday, July 6, 1945 Clarkston Pioneer Is Taken By Death Melvin H. Peterson, 56, pioneer resident of Clarkston since boyhood, died of a heart attack at 4:30 a.m. yesterday at his home. Mr. Peterson was born at Powers, Mich., May 19, 1889, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Niles Peterson. For many years he was engaged in the plumbing business here and later in the lumber business. He was married to Elizabeth Sorey Wilson at Lewiston in April, 1941. Mr. Peterson survives, also two brothers and one sister, Arthur E. Peterson, Lewiston, Mervin Peterson, Ely, Minn., and Mrs. Viola Kruger, Sturgeon Bay, Wis. The body is at Brower-Wann chapel, Lewiston, with funeral arrangements pending. |
