Lewiston Morning Tribune Thursday, January 29, 1942 Seymour F. Patton Victim Of Pneumonia Seymour F. Patton, 73, residing at 714 Tenth avenue, died at St. Joseph's hospital at 2:30 yesterday afternoon after a brief illness. Death was attributed to pneumonia. Mr. Patton for the last 10 years represented the Brownie Baking Co., Spokane, in the Lewiston territory. Born at Hillsboro, Ohio, Dec. 16, 1868, he came west about 50 years ago and located at Waitsburg, Wash., where for many years he owned a mercantile establishment and served the town as postmaster. Mr. Patton was a 32d degree Mason, member of Calam temple of the Shrine and an Odd Fellow of long standing. He was an affiliate of the Methodist church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Jennie Patton; three children, Mrs. Sereta Aldrich and Lewis Patton, both of Waitsburg, and Helen Patton, Lewiston; his brother, James Patton, Eugene, Ore., and his sister, Miss Alice Patton, residing in the east. The body is at the Vassar-Rawls chapel with funeral arrangements pending. |
