Lewiston Morning Tribune Monday, May 1, 1944 Rutherford B. Parks Is Called By Death Rutherford B. Parks, 76, pioneer retired farmer of Nez Perce county, died at 5 a.m. yesterday at a Colfax hospital. Mr. Parks, who resided at 1208 Fourteenth avenue, was born July 21, 1877, in Ontario, Canada, and came to the United States at an early age. For many years he was prominently identified with the farming interests of Potlatch ridge where he located in 1896. After his retirement four years ago he resided at Kendrick, moving to Lewiston last October. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Leona Parks; three sons, Harold Parks and Hugh Parks, both of Juliaetta, and Homer Parks, Kendrick; his brother, Raymond Parks, Peck; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 from the Brower-Wann chapel with the Rev. P. Malcolm Hammond as officiant. Interment will be at Normal Hill cemetery. |
