Lewiston Morning Tribune Thursday, December 6, 1934 Jonas C. Palmer Dies Had Been Ill Several Years; Leaves Six Sons, Two Daughters. Jonas C. Palmer, 71, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock at his home, 1827 Eleventh avenue, after an illness of several years. He had resided here for the last nine years. Mr. Palmer was born Dec. 30, 1863, in Harrison county, Iowa. He is survived by a widow, Nellie Palmer; six sons, Carl, Winfred, Richard, Russell and Aldred, Lewiston; Jonah Palmer, Jr., living in Nebraska; two daughters, Mrs. Iva Bausch, whose home is in Nebraska, and Mrs. Burnice Creach, living in Missouri; also two brothers in Nebraska, William Palmer and Daniel Palmer; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Lockline, in Missouri, and Mrs. Rose Bunnell, Portland; also a cousin, Robert Palmer, this city. The body is resting at the Vassar-Shaughnessy-Rawls chapel. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
